KATR PIctures is an innovative production company known for creative, high quality projects that specialize in strong characters and exceptional story-telling.

KATR Pictures takes Transmedia and ancillary content seriously. We love to build large worlds for our characters to live in. Ancillary Products, videos, websites and content widen the peripheral vision of the project to enable us to tell stories from multiple outlets and perspectives.

Ladies and Gents

Two public restrooms.

Ladies and Gents (The Ladies and The Gents) are two new companion shows co-produced by KATR Pictures.

Collaborating with numerous talented ladies from the web community, Ladies will be entirely written, directed and produced by women. KATR’s own Tanya Ihnen co-helms alongside webseries potentates Jessica Mills (Awkward Embraces) and Stephanie Thorpe (After Judgement).

Not to be left out based solely on gender, Robb Padgett and Steve Lekowicz are co-producing the all-male counterpart, Gents, with the help of creative juggernaut Avi Glijansky (The Further Adventures of Cupid and Eros).

Ladies and Gents are coming in Fall 2012.

Our First News Blog Post

Hello! So, we’ve decided to put a KATR news blog on this site. You know, just in case anyone cares what’s going on over here at KATR Pictures.

Well, at the moment I’m writing this news post. But I’m also adding a news blog to this website. And in a second I’m going to categorize this news blog post so that I can add it to the widgets and stuff. Do you really want to know that?

No. You don’t.

But hey, it’s a news blog. It’s supposed to contain a certain amount of information that you don’t really care to know. I think the mandated percentage is 3. I’ll have to look that up. But for some reason, the number three is stuck in my head. Perhaps it’s simply because earlier I was thinking about the number 1 and then the number 2 and this is the logical progression? I don’t know. I have a website to finish.

Robb Padgett

Originally from West Virginia via Washington State, Robb has lived in Los Angeles so long that he’s turned native. Although, due to a particularly stubborn streak, he still shows up to things on time. Robb is KATR PIctures’ “Full-time Employee,” with duties ranging from writing and directing to editing, graphics and janitorial work. And he loves it all. …Except maybe the janitorial work. But hey, you have to start somewhere, right?

Robb is also a musician with a penchant for jazz, as can be heard in the scoring work that he does. And while he doesn’t play the saxophone as much as he used to, you can still hear him bleating through it on some of his tunes.

Robb would like to thank the Academy and his amazing girlfriend Tanya who… wait, what is this again? Oh yeah, a bio…

Because of both of these jobs, she’s well-versed in e-mail writing and supply ordering. Born and raised in Washington state, she still loves apples and tractors.
